Midterms are coming up…

Feeling a little overwhelmed as midterms loom? Check out these quick tips to beat stress and conquer midterms!

  1. Find time for yourself – Studying is important, don’t get us wrong! But you should take some time for yourself. Grab a snack, or destress with a favorite show for awhile to clear your mind so you can get back to studying with a fresh mind!
  2. Time management is key! – Cramming for a midterm the night before is never a good idea. Give yourself some time to prepare. For example, the week before your exams, give yourself an hour or two each day to study your notes. That way, you’re ready for the big test! Giving yourself time to study also gives you the chance to ask your instructor if you have any questions.
  3. Don’t freak out! – Midterms can be stressful, but with the right amount of preparation, you can do it!
  4. Hold a study session with classmates – Finding it hard to concentrate on your own? Having trouble understanding something? Hold a study session! Who will know the material better than other students in the class (besides the professor)
  5. Take care of yourself – Eat right, exercise, and get plenty of sleep. This will help relieve any stress you might be feeling. Remember, it’s proven that students perform at their best when they are well-rested, well-nourished, and prepared!

Good luck with midterms, Owls!
